My progress has been slowed, however, there is still a lot to do for this project. I am still looking to continue this project in my spare time.
My project is to source broken, unwanted, or old laptops from around San Francisco and repair them. These computers will be given to families and students that need them, since computers are not accessible to everyone because of their expensive price. This is an issue due to our growing reliance on technology in general, as well as for educational purposes.
Not only does this provide a computer for someone to use for their educational/personal needs, it saves a computer from potentially going to waste.

Source unused/old/broken laptops and computers from SF residents by posting online ads on websites like Craigslist, Freecycle, and Trashnothing, which allow me to post free local ads and get in contact with people.
Computers are picked up to the donor's convenience.
Repair and recondition the computers. All data will be securely erased.
Document the work as well as the computer on this website.
Distribute the computers to the public. We will hand out computers directly to members of our community as well as working with organizations that can distribute them as well.
